Good luck, but should you fail, don't forget the fourth option: leave it as it is. It's already much better than IE preview, to the point that I hadn't noticed it until this post. In about:config change browser.taskbar.previews.enable to false. Please do not use scare quotes, it is a real feature and quite useful for some people (those with a single window and few tabs in particular).
